Living with Endometriosis

Not so commonly known, “Endometriosis” – is a chronic inflammatory disease, that affects one in ten women of childbearing age. Complex and painful, this disease manifests itself differently in each and every patient. The most common signs of ‘endometriosis’ are menstrual irregularities, pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia, and infertility. It is also has a psychological dimension as the disease affects social relationships, sexuality and mental health.

Wellkin Hospital in collaboration with the NGO “Living with Endometriosis” organised a talk led by psychologist Manon Luigi to raise awareness on the psychological aspect of this disease. This session was held on Tuesday, 20th August, 2019, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at Wellkin Hospital.
