At Wellkin Hospital, you will find the latest treatments for skin diseases and cosmetic dermatology.

Chemical peeling:

It is an accelerated controlled exfoliation of the skin. The goal here is to remove a predictable uniform thickness of damaged skin to improve pigmentary disorders, acne, fine wrinkles, dilated pores, etc. Superficial or medium peels can be done depending on the indication. Sessions can be done monthly until patient satisfaction.

Ablation of the superficial aspects of the skin by using a high-pressure flow of crystals. It is painless with no downtime and is mainly effective for very superficial scars and wrinkles. Any skin type can be treated. Sessions can be done every 2-4 weeks, until patient satisfaction.

Ablative Fractionated carbon-dioxide laser resurfacing:

It is an ablative skin resurfacing for improving and repairing sun damage, wrinkles, uneven coloration, acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks, etc. The laser light eliminated columns of damaged skin, allowing new skin to grow at its place. It has a downtime of 7-10 days, whereby good sun protection must be practised. Anaesthetic cream has to be applied 1 hour prior to the procedure. Sessions can be done every 3 months until patient satisfaction.

Cauterisation of skin growths:

Laser- assisted cauterisation or excision with cauterisation of skin growths (such as moles, warts, skin tags, syringoma, milia, etc) are done under topical, local or general anesthesia, depending on patient preference. Healing time of 4-14 days is to be expected. Sutures are rarely needed, unless the lesions are deep. Number of sessions depends on number of lesions.

Also known as dermarolling, or collagen induction therapy. It is indicated in cases of superficial wrinkles and scars. There is minimal downtime, scabbing and redness, and no risk of pigmentary loss.

Laser hair removal:

Latest laser technologies are used in our setting for hair reduction and hair thinning for patients experiencing normal or increased hair growth on any part of the body. Sessions are recommended every 4-6 weeks, for a total of 6-8 sessions, after which maintenance sessions may or may not be required (depending on the cause of the increased hair growth). Average duration of sessions depends on the area being treated and can range anywhere from 5 minutes (for example for facial hair) to 1 hour (for full body). There is minimal pain and anesthetic cream can be applied depending on patient’s preference. Our technology comes with minimal downtime and side effects.

Laser removal of pigmented lesions:

Laser is being increasingly used in several pigmented lesions such as freckles, sunspots, melasma, lichen planus pigmentoses, hormonal pigmentations, nevus etc. As we all know, it is very tough to treat pigmented lesions. Studies have shown that a combination of topical therapies, oral treatments, laser, and chemical peels work better than either treatment alone. There is minimal downtime and side effect with laser treatment. Mild redness may be present for 1-4 days. Very rarely, mild scabbing may be seen. The pigmentation decreases with each session, so several sessions are required. Number of sessions depends on severity of condition.

Carbon peel, (also known as China doll peel or Hollywood peel):

Is used for deep face cleaning, rejuvenation, acne, and oil destruction. There is minimal or no downtime after treatment. Sessions can be repeated every 2-3 weeks. 2-6 sessions are recommended.

Laser treatment of nail fungus

Non-invasive laser treatment of fungal infections in nails has been proven effective with minimal downtime and tolerable pain. Sessions are carried out every month until nail regrowth is normal (around 4-6months). Sessions last around 15 minutes. It can be combined with topical and/or oral treatments.

Laser treatment of spider veins

Spider veins on face or body can be decreased with laser treatment. Anesthetic cream is applied prior to the procedure depending on patient’s preference. Mild redness will be present for 2-3 days. Scabs are rarely formed. Sessions are done every month until patient satisfaction. Good sun protection must be practised between the sessions.

Non-ablative rejuvenation (laser facial)

Laser facial is done to improve the appearance of fine lines, dull skin and pigmentation by collagen synthesis without epidermal damage. There is minimal downtime and pain during the session. Mild redness can be present for 2-3 days. Good sun protection must be practised. Number of sessions depends on patient’s requirements, and can be carried out monthly.

Tattoo removal

Laser is being increasingly used for tattoo removal. Our machine can target most tattoo colours (such as black, blue, red, orange, yellow, purple, brown). Several sessions are required. Anesthetic cream can be used as per patient’s preference.
